I believe that those who engage with music not only as listeners but as students live a far more beautiful, richer and more colourful life. Over my 35-year musical career, and as the first qualified accordion teacher in Hungary, the urgent need for a change of approach in education occupied me a great deal.

That is why in 2017 I completed a special-needs teaching assistant course, to deepen my knowledge and reach my goal of teaching every one of my students professionally. I believe it matters that those who wish to learn music also get the chance to do so even if they would rather not submit to the curricula and examination requirements of a school setting.

My creed is something the ancient Greeks already knew: they attributed such an important role to music that it was taught in school every day. Aristotle claimed that children must learn to make music, so that through it their taste and emotional world may be refined.
